Porsche is now offering a special edition for three of its Cayenne models. Easily recognisable at first glance by their distinctive sporty appearance, the Cayenne Platinum Edition models offer premium-quality features at a very attractive price. The Cayenne V6 Petrol, Diesel and S E-Hybrid now feature large 20-inch wheels in RS Spyder design, housed in wider wheel arches. The exclusive interiors are complemented by leather sport seats with electric eight-way adjustment, Alcantara centre panels and the Porsche crest on all headrests. The manufacturer of exclusive two- and four-door sports cars uses the Platinum Edition designation for selected model series that are offered for only a limited time.
The models’ expanded range of features improves comfort and safety. Standard equipment in the Cayenne Platinum Edition models includes: Bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Power Steering Plus and ParkAssist in the front and rear. All models feature rear-view and exterior mirrors with an automatic anti-glare feature and dark-tinted glass for additional privacy in the rear passenger compartment.
A non-metallic black or white finish exterior paint is standard for all Cayenne Platinum Edition models, with Deep Black, Purpurite, Mahogany, Carrara White and Rhodium Silver metallic paints available as an option. The wider wheel arches are also finished in the chosen exterior colour. The elegant appearance is rounded off by the black high-gloss exterior package.
The exclusive status of the special Cayenne models is immediately apparent upon entry into the car, with stainless steel door sills showcasing “Platinum Edition” lettering, and illuminated door sills that light up the model name in the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Platinum Edition. Additional high-end standard features include the latest generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, with a seven-inch touchscreen, the BOSE® Surround Sound system as well as a stylish analogue clock integrated in the dashboard. The Cayenne S E-Hybrid also comes with a stationary heating/air conditioning system.
The Platinum Edition of Porsche’s entry-level Cayenne delivers 220 kW (300 hp), whilst the Cayenne Diesel produces 180 kW (245 hp). The combined output of the Cayenne S E-Hybrid is 306 kW (416 hp). Here, the perfect interplay between the three-litre V6 petrol engine and the electric motor results in fuel consumption of 3.4 to 3.3 l/100 km.
The Cayenne Platinum Edition models are available for order now, with deliveries set to commence in August 2016.
